Day Camp Visits

Ages 4–18
Bring your day camp and youth groups to the Brooklyn Museum for a cool cross-cultural journey through art from around the world. Led by our experienced teen staff, your group will engage with artworks old and new and learn the stories that connect them, as well as explore art materials and move their bodies.

Dates and times
Wednesdays–Fridays, July 10–August 16

Guided tours: 10:30–11:45 am, 1–2:15 pm
Self-guided tours: available 11 am–6 pm (learn more about self-guided tours)

Guided tour topics

  • Made to Last: Ancient Egypt’s Eternal Power: Take a close look at art from ancient Egypt, Nubia, and the Near East, and learn about the rich history and global impact of African culture. 
  • The Mystique of Ancient Asia: Explore the world’s largest continent through its stories, cultures, and artistic techniques with works from our Arts of Asia and the Islamic World collections. 
  • Shades of Change: Witness how art can be used to create change and fight for justice.
  • Becoming a City: Take a trip back in time to the city now known as Tokyo (formerly Edo) by exploring Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo (feat. Takashi Murakami), and learn how artists express the importance of the environment in their communities. 
  • Capturing the Beatles: Get inspired by the impact of music and photography through the lens of Paul McCartney Photographs 1963–64: Eyes of the Storm

Costs and payment
Guided tours cost $3 per student. Each group may include up to 25 students and 5 chaperones. The first 5 chaperones per group are free; the fee for additional chaperones is $5 each.

Advance payment is preferred; day-of payment is also accepted.

Registration and cancelations
Let us know ahead of time that you’re coming. Reserve your spot by filling out our online form. (Include at least three tour date preferences.)
