          CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Large, globular jar with the neck opening in the form of a seated, nude male figure with arms crossed and resting on his knees. The bulge in his left cheek indicates that he is chewing a wad of coca leaves. The figure holds a cup in his right hand that may be a lime container. Andean people continue to use lime (calcium carbonate) when chewing coca leaves to activate the stimulant properties of the leaves.
